An Australian Government initiative that offers new career pathways by making apprenticeships and traineeships more relevant and accessible.
- Australian Training
You can search to find courses by occupation, by region or by institution. Training gives details on courses and education and training providers including universities, TAFE and registered training organisations.
- DEEWR training and skills
The Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations provides an extensive list of links related to career training and skills.
- Community Development Employment Project programme
The Community Development Employment Projects (CDEP) programme is an Australian Government funded initiative for unemployed Indigenous people.
- Community Work
Community Work is voluntary work undertaken by job seekers who register with and are monitored by Community Work Coordinators (CWC). Job seekers are able to do Community Work to fulfil their mutual obligation or to obtain a Training Credit.
- Green Corps
Green Corps provides people aged between 17 and 20 years with accredited training while participating in environmental and heritage conservation projects.

This database contains extensive information about vocational training, with details of training courses available, qualifications and competency standards in Australia.
- Trades Recognition Australia
Trades Recognition Australia provides occupational skills assessment services for people intending to migrate to Australia and domestic skills assessments for Australian residents.
- Volunteer work
A range of information about volunteering and other community work.
- Work Experience Placement Programme
The Australian Government will pay for insurance costs for job seekers undertaking work experience.
- Work for the Dole
Work for the Dole (WFD) provides work experience placements for job seekers in approved activities which provide facilities and services to local communities.
