DEEWR Employment Services IT system consultation sessions

The Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) has initiated an extensive consultative process involving Employment Service Providers to assist in developing a new Information Technology (IT) system that supports the new Employment Services policy requirements and also employment service providers.

Updated - Australian JobSearch website

DEEWR has released a new version of jobsearch.gov.au. Visitors to Jobsearch will enjoy usability, accessibility and job search functionality. While the content of the site has been improved many of the basic functions have not changed. Visit www.jobsearch.gov.au to see the changes.

DEEWR's Monthly Leading Indicator of Employment (Indicator) has fallen for six consecutive months. The July results are available from the DEEWR Leading Indicator of Employment page.

Updated Australian JobSearch website - postponed

DEEWR previously advised that a new version of jobsearch.gov.au was going to be released on the weekend. Due to unforeseen technical issues the scheduled release did not proceed. We expect to rectify this situation soon and wish to reassure JobSearch users that this will not affect the use of the current site.

Updated award modernisation request

The Minister for Employment and Workplace Relations, Julia Gillard issued a revised Award Modernisation Request to the Australian Industrial Relations Commission.
