Steel framers for the housing industry - Perth WA
The housing industry is booming in WA! One area of great demand is for workers to erect steel roof trusses.
Swan TAFE (Balga Campus) is running its first “Steel Framing for the Housing Industry” course in August. Participants need to be fit, to be unafraid of heights, and to have some construction hand skills.
Because the work will be on residential housing projects, participants need to have their own transport.
After the first 5 days of training participants are placed with roofing contractors for work experience. Indications are that this work will be paid at the rate of $14-16/hour (negotiable). After another 5 days of training at TAFE, you will almost certainly be snapped up for employment by roofing companies.
