Centrelink-your gateway to Job Network

Centrelink, as the 'gateway to Job Network services', undertakes the registration, assessment and referral of job seekers to Job Network members. Centrelink use a tool called the Job Search Classification Instrument (JSCI) to determine what type of Job Network service will suit a job seeker best .

Centrelink provides all job seekers, including those not in receipt of unemployment benefit, with free access to JobSearch Facilities.

  • JobSearch Facilities provide job seekers with free access to JobSearch Kiosks and JobSearch telephones.

The JobSearch Kiosks provide a way for job seekers to access relevant career and job search information as well as information about Job Network members and relevant local employment services.

JobSearch Kiosks enable job seekers to search for jobs, explore career options, get in touch with employers and Job Network members and prepare professional looking resumes.

The JobSearch Telephones are provided at no charge for job seekers to contact employers, Job Network members, Community Work Co-ordinators, volunteer organisations and training providers listed on the JobSearch Kiosk. The telephones are provided to allow job seekers to further explore work opportunities and arrange interviews with employers.
