Harvest Labour Services

National Harvest Labour Information Service

The National Harvest Labour Information Service makes sure that growers and job seekers can find each other, facilitating the supply of harvest labour through national coordination and dissemination of information on harvest opportunities around Australia.

The National Harvest Labour Information Service coordinates and distributes information on harvest labour in Australia. The National Harvest Labour information Service publishes the National Harvest Guide. The guide is available free of charge to job seekers across Australia in hardcopy and on the Harvest Trail Website.

Throughout the year, growers need help mobilising labour to assist with the harvesting of crops. Harvest Labour Service providers assist growers in finding labour during peak seasons.

All job seekers who are legally entitled to work in Australia are eligible for Harvest Labour Services, not only those receiving income support.

Harvest Trail

From grape harvesting in Berri, to mango picking in Darwin, each year thousands of people find work helping to bring in the fruit and vegetable harvests. The Harvest Trail gives them the opportunity to combine seasonal harvest work with travelling around Australia.

The Trail offers a way for young, middle aged and older Australians to finance travel around their country. By working and following the Harvest Trail job seekers from Australia and overseas find a great way to maintain a fit and healthy lifestyle, are able to meet people from around Australia and the world and can travel and see Australia at their own pace while working and earning money.
