Migration Occupations in Demand List (MODL) - AUSTRALIA
The Migration Occupations in Demand List (MODL) includes occupations identified by the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) as being in national demand with sustained employment prospects. The MODL has its basis in DEEWR’s skill shortages research with account taken of some broader labour market information including supply and demand trends.
The MODL is used to target the General Skilled Migration categories of the Migration Program to the skill needs of the Australian labour market. Further information on the operation of the MODL is available from the Department of Immigration and Citizenship. Each MODL is effective from the date of publication in the Commonwealth of Australia Gazette, unless otherwise specified in the Gazette Notice.
