30 September 2009 Summary
Collective Agreements made under the Australian Government Employment Bargaining Framework (AGEBF)
The AGEBF applies to employment arrangements for all Australian Public Service (APS) Agencies and the Members of Parliament Staff. Non-APS Commonwealth Authorities and other Government employers apply the AGEBF as directed by their responsible Minister. Where the responsible Minister does not have power to direct a non-APS Commonwealth Authority to apply the AGEBF those Authorities are encouraged to voluntarily apply the AGEBF.
Agreements' average annualised wage increase (AAWI) is the primary indicator used in measuring salary increases under collective agreements. AAWI figures are calculated using an agreement duration based on the commencement of the agreement and its Nominal Expiry Date (NED).
