Manfred - CALD job seeker

ESP woke me up” says Manfred*, a 50 year old from a European background.

Manfred is a self-employed swimming pool technician two days a week and is looking for a part-time job to cover the other days.

Manfred’s consultant encouraged him to complete ESP to give him a wider range of job options to consider.

Manfred acknowledges that he tends to look for jobs in areas he has previously worked.

ESP brought up a new array of jobs Manfred had never considered. ESP also confirmed he had the right employability skills for his preferred area of employment.

“I was surprised that having done it [ESP], I feel more confident and I think it has prepared me for the types of questions I could be asked at interviews.

Manfred’s consultant is pleased that he “… is out there researching the jobs that have come up in his reports … it has given him more opportunities.”

Manfred’s views on ESP? Overall he is very positive. There are “more job angles he can explore….my confidence is gaining,” he says.

I think everyone should have a go [at ESP] if they have been unemployed.
