Better Connections workshops
Better Connections workshops bring together employment services providers, Federal, state and local government agencies, local chambers of commerce and others to develop solutions to local employment issues. The objective of the workshops is to improve labour market effectiveness by addressing labour supply and skill shortage issues, increasing labour market participation and reducing unemployment.
Better Connections workshops present a range of data on labour market demand and supply including information on employment by industry, skills in demand, vacancies lodged and filled by Job Network members and Job Placement Organisations, apprenticeship commencements, and on Centrelink customer population. The data presented at the Better Connections workshops may be more recent than that on the Labour Market and Service Data CD. Better Connections workshop presentations, workshop outcomes and any questions and answers will be posted to this webpage as workshops are held.
Another source of labour market information is the Labour Market Information Portal.
