Employee Share Ownership
Substantial changes to the taxation laws governing employee share schemes have been announced in the 2008-09 Budget. These changes are not reflected in the information provided on this site or in the 'Getting Started' kits. You should therefore seek information and advice from a suitably qualified tax professional.
The Employee Share Ownership Development Unit ceased operations as at 30 June 2007. However, the 'Getting started' information kits and other publications continue to be available for distribution.
Why ESO?
Employee share ownership (ESO) gives employees a share in the business they work in so that they benefit financially when the business performs well.
ESO is for businesses of all sizes and types.
