Harvest Labour Service

From grape harvesting in Berri, to mango picking in Darwin, each year thousands of people find work helping to bring in the fruit and vegetable harvests, combining seasonal harvest work with travel around Australia.

As growers in key horticultural regions often have difficulty finding sufficient workers at harvest time, the Harvest Labour Service helps to match an itinerant pool of workers with variable seasonal work.

Harvest work is available in various regions around Australia where demand for workers exceeds local supply. The work can include picking, packing, weeding, pruning and thinning of a range of crops. Work in wool harvesting is also available through the Harvest Labour Service.

If you are from Australia, you are eligible for placement into work through the Harvest Labour Service whether or not you are registered as a job seeker with Centrelink, and whether or not you are receiving income support payments.

If you are from overseas, you need a valid visa legally entitling you to work in Australia.
