Apply for a Job Placement Licence
If your organisation is seeking a Job Placement Licence, then you are required to address the Guidelines for Assessment (PDF 60KB) as part of your application. The Guidelines set out the minimum requirements for organisations applying for a Job Placement Licence, and the criteria for assessing applications. It is important to ensure that your application includes sufficient information to clearly demonstrate that your organisation is able to satisfy the four minimum requirements as well as the two selection criteria. The Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) will assess your demonstrated capacity to deliver a Job Placement Service using these Guidelines.
DEEWR only licenses organisations that can demonstrate that they satisfy the minimum requirements outlined in the Guidelines for Assessment (PDF 60KB) .In addition, you may not be granted a licence if you intend to make less than 50 paid placements each year. Once licensed, a Job Placement Organisation must at all times be an 'active provider'.
Under the 2006-2009 Job Placement Licence arrangements, 'active provider' means that DEEWR is satisfied a provider is making satisfactory progress towards achieving at least 10 payable outcomes each year, from the start of the licence, or as otherwise agreed with DEEWR.
To apply for a Job Placement Licence you must complete a Job Placement Licence Pack. Job Placement Licence Application Packs are available until close of business 21 November 2008.
If you wish to receive a JPLA Pack, please email your contact details and postal address to jobplacement@deewr.gov.au, or phone 1300 551 832, before the closing date. Packs are issued by Australia Post the next business day after requests are received.
You must use the JPLA Pack to apply for a licence. The application pack includes:
- A green Application CD containing the electronic application form. Comprehensive instructions and a troubleshooting guide are provided in the sleeve of the Application CD.
- A unique JPLA identification number to include on your application form.
You must use the electronic form when completing your application. DEEWR will use the information on the electronic form to assess your application and to manage your Job Placement Services.
To enable a quick turnaround of your JPLA and ensure they are no delays in commencing business under the licence, you will need to demonstrate that your organisation satisfies the minimum requirements and selection criteria for a licence as outlined in the Guidelines for Assessment (PDF 60KB). Applications which are found to not meet the Minimum Requirements No. 1 and No. 2 will not assessed further.
Please copy your completed application form onto a CD and mail it to DEEWR at:
