For recruitment companies
Grow your business
Job Placement Services are aimed at helping you grow your recruitment business, and using your expertise as recruiters to increase the pool of vacancies available to eligible job seekers.
Job Placement Services are both employer-focussed and job seeker-focussed. Your local employers are your client group and the service you provide should help your clients meet their recruitment needs.
The Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) recognises that you already service job seekers as part of your normal business. Job Placement Services are designed to facilitate the placement of DEEWR's registered job seekers into your vacancies.
There are over 600,000 resumes online. Using DEEWR's system to match, notify, refer and place these job seekers into your eligible vacancies will ensure the most efffective outcome for your Job Placement business.

Job Placement Licence Only arrangements
As outlined in The Future of Employment Services in Australia Discussion Paper and in the Frequently Asked Questions, Job Placement Licence Only arrangements will not form part of the new employment services system. Licences granted under the current arrangements will expire on 30 June 2009. Interested organisations can apply for a Job Placement Licence (JPL) up until the end of November 2008. New licences issued after this time will have a full 6 months to deliver Job Placement Services.
JPL applications close on 30 November 2008 with licences being issued in December. For information on the application process, go to apply for a Job Placement Licence.
Under the new employment services, Providers will perform Job Placement vacancy gathering, matching and job seeker referral activities, and receive Job Placement fees for successful placement of eligible job seekers.
