After a tragic surfing spinal injury Deborah Morandin joined NEIS to establish a motivational training business that has been so successful, she was the Winner of Quest Business of the Year in Training in 2005 and 2006 and Finalist for Queenslander of the Year. Check out

In 1997 at age 35, Neil Davy of Toowoomba, had to end a 20-year career in menswear through a back injury caused by standing for long hours behind shop counters. He had always been interested in marketing and graphic design and saw there was a need in Toowoomba for a graphic design business to assist other businesses with their advertising.

At 40 years of age, Bevan Kearsley was left a paraplegic after a motorcycle accident. Then he was retrenched from his job. The NEIS programme helped him start a speciality store for doors and locks. Today his business has an annual turnover in the millions and is a truly equal opportunity employer.
