Important Information For Applicants Applying From Iran
TRA has been advised that Australian banks have placed a ban on receiving funds from Iranian banks due to United Nations sanctions that are currently in place. This ban also extends to Electronic Funds Transfers.
In order for TRA to assess applications from Iran, applicants will be required to obtain suitable payment from a bank or friend/relative outside Iran. Any applications received with a bank draft raised by an Iranian bank will be returned unprocessed.
Please ensure that applications are submitted inclusive of both an acceptable payment and application form. Applications submitted without payment will be returned for resubmission.
