Workplace Flexibility Industry Projects
The Employer Demand element of the Welfare to Work reforms is aimed at supporting workforce participation for targeted groups in key industry sectors. As part of this strategy, the Workplace Flexibility Industry Projects aim to improve employer awareness and take-up of flexible working arrangements. Other elements of the strategy include the Employer Demand Demonstration Projects, the mature age employment and workplace strategy and strategies to increase employment of workers with disabilities.
Two Workplace Flexibility industry projects will be undertaken each year in 2005/06 and 2006/07 (a total of four projects). Funding of $300,000 each year has been allocated for the combined projects.
