APEC Public Holiday Bill 2007
The APEC Public Holiday Bill 2007 (the Bill) was introduced into the House of Representatives on 8 August 2007.
The Bill, introduced today by the Hon Joe Hockey MP, Minister for Employment and Workplace Relations, will mean that all employees covered by the federal workplace relations system will enjoy a public holiday if they work in the specified metropolitan area.
The public holiday will apply to the following Local Council Areas:
