DEEWR Employment Services IT system consultation sessions
The Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) has initiated an extensive consultative process involving Employment Service Providers to assist in developing a new Information Technology (IT) system that supports the new Employment Services policy requirements and also employment service providers.
The first step in the consultation process was establishing an Employment Services IT Advisory Group. Due to probity requirements, membership of the Advisory Group is initially restricted to representatives from the Department, an independent IT industry representative and the industry peak body representatives (from NESA, Jobs Australia and ACE). The advisory group will provide feedback about the current IT system and provide advice on the new proposed solutions.
We appreciate the feedback you provided on our IT systems during the recent discussion paper consultation process. The Department is now seeking more detailed feedback and would like to extend an invitation to all CEO's and senior staff to participate in the consultation process.
DEEWR will be holding the following sessions next week. We invite you to join us in these discussions and contribute to the successful development of the new system.
Proposed Agenda:
- Present the Terms of Reference for Advisory Group
- Discuss the Consultation Plan for the development of the new IT system
- Feedback from the Discussion Paper
