Government Post-Budget Submission to the AFPC
On 21 May 2008 the Government submitted a post-Budget submission to the Australian Fair Pay Commission’s 2008 Minimum Wage Review.
The submission:
- Provides an update of the economic outlook following the Budget;
- provides descriptions and analysis of measures contained in the 2008-09 Budget that will assist minimum wage earners; and
- reiterates the Government’s support for an increase in minimum wages.
