Innovation Fund
The Innovation Fund is a component of the new Employment Services, commencing on 1 July 2009 and ending on 30 June 2012.
The Innovation Fund is designed to address the needs of the most disadvantaged job seekers through funding projects that will foster innovative solutions to overcome barriers to employment which these job seekers face.
Projects will assist disadvantaged job seekers, including Indigenous Australians, people with mental health conditions, the homeless or those at risk of homelessness, and people from jobless families or who are living in areas of entrenched disadvantage.
In order to receive funding from the Innovation Fund, organisations must be a member of the Innovation Fund panel. A list of Panel Members can be found at the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations website.
Initial Innovation Fund Projects will commence on 1 July 2009 along with the new Employment Services that will come into effect on the same day.
DEEWR is now seeking submissions for project proposals.
Please note that the proposals for the second round of projects should be submitted by no later than 4:30pm 7 August 2009.
The Guidelines for applying for funding from the Innovation Fund were released on 5 December 2008.
