Reasonable Hours Test Case
In May 2001 the ACTU and 12 unions lodged applications with the Australian Industrial Relations Commission (AIRC) for a test case to include several new hours of work provisions in awards. A Full Bench heard submissions from approximately 50 witnesses over 20 hearing days.
