National Employer Survey 1999

This report contains the results from the National Survey of Employers' Use of Job Network conducted by the Wallis Consulting Group. This survey was conducted for the Department in 1999. Fieldwork included a total of 6,500 interviews with employers who has used Job Network and its predecessor the Commonwealth Employment Service, as well as those who had not used Job Network.

The objectives of the survey were to collect information on employers' usage, knowledge and perceptions of Job Network. The survey also included a range of measures to assess employer satisfaction and perceptions of the quality of services delivered by Job Network. The report focuses on the early experiences of Job Network and does not take into account refinements under the second contract round and subsequent market experience.
