Employment assistance for people with mental illness

The Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) was allocated $5 million over four years for research related to employment and mental illness as part of the Council of Australian Governments’ (COAG) National Action Plan on Mental Health 2006-2011.

The research will inform policy and program decisions that will help people with mental illness to find and retain employment.
