Office specific information

The Victorian LEO's main activities include:

  • Occupational Analysis, involving research into occupational labour markets in Victoria including analysis of actual and emerging skills shortages and imbalances.
  • Economic and Labour Market Analysis involves monitoring, analysis and reports on regional, industry and state labour market trends and on the economic trends that impact on the Victorian labour market.
  • Migration Assessment and Research, including advising the Department of Immigration and Multicultural and Indigenous Affairs (DIMIA) on labour market, training and skill issues with respect to applications received under employer sponsored skilled migration arrangements. Research into occupational labour markets is undertaken when assessing applications referred by DIMIA.
