Compliance data for March quarter 2007

The data in these tables will enable users to analyse job seeker Participation Failures and Serious Failures by a number of variables such as age and gender. They also provide information on the number of eight-week non-payment periods incurred by job seekers in the quarter.

The main summary tables, i.e. tables 1 and 6, provide additional information showing key aggregates as a percentage of the total population of job seekers subject to participation requirements. Financial year-to-date information is also provided in all tables.

Please note that there is a break in the statistical series between June Quarter 2006 and September Quarter 2006 – the first quarter of operation of the Welfare to Work legislation which introduced major reforms to job seeker compliance arrangements.

Where very small numbers of failures (less than 20)of a particular type occur, the actual number is not published to avoid the risk that the privacy of any individual might be breached.
